That means that incontinence products and baby diapers produced in ABENA's factory will be produced under the light of 1,239 new energy-efficient LED lamps.
Once all lamps are installed, an annual energy saving of 624,900 kWh is expected. That corresponds to the average energy consumption by 390 people yearly (1600 kWh).
Instead of disposing of the old lamps, they are being rebuilt into LED lights and utilized in other ABENA facilities.
In total, 470 lamps have been repurposed into LED lights, with 200 of installed in Rul-let facility, where ABENA produces baking paper, aluminum foil, sandwich paper, and cling film.
The remaining lamps are installed in OX-ON A/S' facilities and warehouse, as well as our workshop in Denmark.
